Clipper is operated by [Your name or company], [City], France (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact: [contact email].

• Account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Your content: the videos you upload or the YouTube or Twitch links you paste, the clips you create, their titles and captions, and the images and videos you generate.
• Prompts and reference images you send to our AI features (clip selection, prompt enhancement, image and video generation).
• Connected TikTok account (only if you connect it): your TikTok open ID and display name, and the access tokens TikTok gives us. Before each post we also read your posting settings (nickname, allowed audiences, whether comments, Duet and Stitch are allowed, maximum video length).
• Connected Instagram account (only if you connect it): your Instagram user ID and username, and the access token Instagram gives us.
• Posts: the clip, caption, platform, settings and status of each post you publish through Clipper, and the link to the published post.
• Technical data: cookies needed to keep you logged in, and server logs (errors, IP address) kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not read your followers, messages, comments or other posts on TikTok or Instagram, and we do not sell your data.

• To provide the service: import videos, create clips, generate media and show you your projects.
• To publish a clip to TikTok or Instagram, only when you click “Post”, with the caption and settings you chose.
• To keep your account secure and fix problems.

Legal bases (GDPR): performance of our contract with you (providing the service), your consent (connecting a TikTok or Instagram account, which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

• TikTok and Instagram (Meta): the clip and caption you choose to post, sent through their official APIs. Their own privacy policies apply on their platforms.
• AI providers that process prompts, transcripts and reference images on our behalf to generate results.
• Hosting and storage providers that run the service for us.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers may be located outside the European Union. When that happens, we rely on safeguards approved by the European Commission.

• Your account and content: until you delete them or delete your account.
• TikTok and Instagram tokens: until you disconnect the account, delete your account, or remove Clipper from your TikTok or Instagram settings.
• Temporary files used while processing videos are deleted after processing.
• Server logs: up to 12 months.

• Delete a project, clip or generation at any time from the site.
• Disconnect TikTok or Instagram on the Account page: we delete the tokens immediately (and revoke them at TikTok).
• Delete your account on the Account page: we permanently delete your account, videos, clips, generations, connected accounts and post history.
• You can also remove Clipper from your Instagram or TikTok app settings. See Data deletion for details.

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [contact email]. You can also file a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).

We only use cookies that the site needs to work: a login cookie (clipper_session) and a visitor cookie (clipper_guest) that keeps your imports while you are not logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

To know how many people visit the site and which pages are useful, your browser stores a random visitor number (in local storage, not a cookie) and tells our server which pages you open and roughly how long you stay. We do not store your IP address or share this data with anyone, and visits are deleted after 13 months. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, nothing is measured.

Passwords are hashed, tokens are stored on our servers only and never shown in your browser, and the site uses HTTPS.

Clipper is not intended for children under 16.

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
